Is anyone else getting Actns/Swif.T detected when opening a lot of embeds? I've tried this on several different machines, one of which is absolutely never used, so it seems to be something within the embed and not a local infection.

PicLens (Viral Talk)
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but how cool would it be to surf videosift via a fullscreened wall of videos? heh

check it out: www.piclens.com

been using it for a couple days now, and i yearn for a videosift search feature.

didn't know where else to post this besides main, and since i have to choose a channel for it to go anywhere at all, i chose viral. sorry.

I couldn't resist. I know not everyone is perfect... I also know that Burger King isn't exactly a great example of societal achievement... However, this was written by Management... or, as you will see, Managment.

Backstory: Wife and I were going to Burger King and I saw this note posted on the drive-through ordering mechanism. This was 1) written on a computer where spellcheck should be readily available. 2) written by management, who one would expect to be a little more competent than the average McWorker.

Please excuse the shoddy quality, it came from my Camera-phone.

I was just thinking of this for some reason, because of something someone said a while back about siftbot comments.

What if we were to have a "Previous edits" section at the very bottom of a video, under the "Related Vids" section even. This would be the spot where previous tag changes, channel changes, and possibly even subtext changes would show up. Pretty much all siftbot comments.

In place of siftbots *quality response, a simple +1 next to the post title could represent that change. I was thinking more on the lines of a Mario 1-up symbol, embracing my geek roots, but I know that's probably a serious licensing issue.

Anyway, this would clean up sifty's comments from the commenting field, so that only actual conversation is represented in the "Comments (5)" dialogue.

Yeah, i dunno, sorry bout the ramble. heh

I was wondering, for charter members at the very least, if it would be possible to inject a dynamic customizable css code into *.videosift.com ?

The reason I ask, is those that hate the bright white, or simply want different arrows, could have the option to do so. I know it's available on the profile pages, but I was wondering if it would be possible to do this for everything upon logon?

I don't know if this has been brought up before or not, so I figured what the hey... may as well ask...

I don't know whether this would be a coding nightmare or not either, so...

is there any way to still view how many votes a video had when it was discarded? like a small numeral on the can or near it?

the reason i ask is that sometimes i want to save a video, but since i only get one/week, i don't want to save a video with only 2 votes. if it had 6 or 7 though, it's worth the save.

So based on this post

I was wondering if we should refine 'geek' to:

- tech

- science

- info

- space (?)

and we should really have

- nature

Why does this display as such? I edited the title to reflect the first comment, and now it's horked.

any way to do the coding for this? i'm sure there are lots of comments that get lost in the blog, because no one ever goes back to look at them.

if only there was a way to 'view new comments since last login.' *snicker*

...is supposed to bring up the login page, right?

instead it brings up, "You have fallen off the ranch - page not found
If you get here from a link on VideoSift, we probably broke something. Please let us know. Otherwise you might want to go to the front page or the all-time top videos. Or watch this."

i wonder if it would be possible to self-delete a post in the edit window... this could come in handy when accidentally posting dupes, or if you just decide against posting that video after doing so.

Sorry, too lazy to read through the entire forum, but I often wonder how many people look at the new video queue, in order to facilitate new content being submitted to the front page.

I think but a fraction of visitors actually view that section, and unless it's been discussed already, I might suggest that the colored block be placed above the 'Top 15 Fastest Rising Videos'...
